Of course wine is the absolute protagonist of these paintings, and accords well with the warm colors. On the other hand, it is well known that the wine turns out to be of great help to those who are lonely and melancholy, because least they can rise a little the morale of and forget, even momentarily, the sad things of the life, or even simply to overcome shyness and getting carried away by cheerfulness.
